- 1 Start a room and send the six-character code to your partner, or to the whole family.
- 2 Swipe. Nobody sees what you passed on. Everyone walks the same list, so you meet the same names at roughly the same time.
- 3 Match. When enough of you like the same name, it lands on every phone in the room at once.
What makes it different
A passed name stays private
Only the names you like are ever shown to anyone. There is no list of what you rejected, and no way for anyone to go looking for one.
The names waiting on you come first
A name your partner already liked is the one where your vote actually decides something. So those are dealt to you first, labelled with who liked them — rather than filed away in a tab you have to remember to check.
Works for a group, not just a pair
Rooms can hold as many people as you like, with a rule for how many have to agree. Standings show what the room is leaning towards. Useful for a name; also useful for where to eat.
Nearly 16,000 names, with the facts attached
Pronunciation, syllable count, spelling variants, nicknames, and how a name's popularity has moved since 1880. Filter by gender, length, or how common it is.
No tracking, no ads, nothing sold
There is no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, and no third-party script anywhere in the app. We do not sell your data and there is no mechanism in the app that could. This site sets no cookies, which is why it has never asked you to accept any. The privacy policy says exactly what is stored and who touches it.
